slider bars

I am assuming when you say no MFC, that you would like to do it in Win32 API. I have never used slider bars in Win32 but i can point you in the direction of where to find great information.


msdn is really an amazing place.

More information i found on it, is it is called a track bar and i found this code in some projects i was looking at :

hTrack = GetDlgItem(hWnd,IDC_TAB3_Track);
SendMessage(hTrack,TBM_SETTICFREQ,(LPARAM) 1,0);
SendMessage(hTrack,TBM_SETPOS,TRUE,(LPARAM) 0);

You can look up those TBM_messages and see what they do and hopefully you will easily be able to find one to find the current value of it!

I think i found it: TBM_GETPOS
