Mobile Invaders
I've written a simple J2ME game called 'Mobile Invaders' (no prizes for guessing what it's based upon).
So far I've tested it on the Nokia 7650, the Nokia N-Gage and the Sun WTK20 Emulator with success. However, I'm not sure about other mobile handsets.
If anybody has a spare moment (and a colour Java phone!), I'd appreciate it if anybody could give it a go and let me know how you get on.

i tried it on a series 40 phone (6610) and the lower portion of the screen was only white. shots and all worked.
but shouldn''t you only be able to fire one shot at a time or at least only once in a while (you can repeat fire)...
otherwise nice

Hi,
Many thanks for the feedback.
I think I''ve fixed the problem with lower resolution screens, please try it again if you can and let me know how you get on!

you should do two versions with different minimum screensizes. maybe with a variable margin, which will be filled (if needed) with graphic that isnt nessessary for the game - so it wont look bad...

Many thanks. I''m thinking for the next game I might target specific platforms (hence screen sizes) and release two or three different versions of the same game.
BTW - you should now be able to download Mobile Invaders easily by going to ''wap.webcogs.com'' using the browser on your mobile phone.
Cheers,
Richard.
