I am wondering of the people that have been learning openGL from NeHe''s site if you perfer learning from his site to learing from a book ... The reason I''m asking is because I am about to start reading his tutorials daily and am wondering if this is the best way to go about it...... thanx

The best way to go is the way makes you more comfortable. Some like the online tutorials and what not, but I like to read from a book.

Go through a couple of simple one''s then try to make a simple program completely on your own. This will identify what you understand and what you need help on. Then hit the books.

mmm. I''d recommend first learning C++ and getting confident with it - GameTutorials is a good place for that. Then go through some winAPI tutorials, as that is the most confusing right off. Don''t bother going and learning everything from winAPI off by heart or anything - it''s not worth the time. Just learn the important bits. Gametutorials again is good for that. The best I think is Forger''s Tutorials.
Finally go on with NeHe''s OpenGL tutorials! A few tutorials through I''d also recommend experimenting a bit. Try to totally understanding what you''re doing. It''d make things easier in the long run
