Is there any free 3-D modelers that let you export and import .md2? Not MilkShape PROGAMERS

I have the same prob. Milkshape incorrectly does animations w/ .md2. Exploration wont export .md2.

AC3D.

I haven''t used it much though, and I can''t say that I like it. If you''re prepared to learn Python and write an export script, then I would recommend Blender (although that has quite a steep learning curve).

The people who make Truespace have release version 3.2 as freeware. Sorry I don''t have the link, but I am sure a quick search on Google will turn up a download.

WAIT! Dont use AC3D For .MD2! It deletes the texture ad animation info leaving a model that i cant find how to load.

EG: It turns my 300kb model into a 15kb model leaving all the extras stripped out!

Never mind I though it exported MD2 but it doesn''t

There is script in progess to do just that at http://220.86.152.106/programming/blender/index.html for Blender (www.blender.org).

If you are a programmer you could help out the progress. Blender uses a Python API.
