The VB Currency type is available to C/C++ programs as CURRENCY. It''s a union defined in the OAIdl.h header in the Platform SDK.

On the other hand, it''s pretty pointless. It''s basically just a LONGLONG with a factor of 10,000 scaling. In my opinion, it''s only useful for interoperating with VB code.

I stand corrected. Is it the exact equivalent of VB''s Currency tpye (same number of bits and all)?
Yes, the binary representation is the same as VB''s Currency type. I don''t know which came first, the OLE type or the VB type, but whichever came second was designed to be completely compatible with the one that came first.
