hi all, I'm using a dll for my renderer. my renderer uses a static log class. the log class has a function loadStrings. Inside this function i have:ifstream strings(path,ios::in);This causes an acces violation. when i use the log class in an non-dll file i don't get this error. Opening a file also fails always. Does someone know why? thx in advance [edited by - Freaker13 on January 14, 2004 9:52:19 AM] [edited by - Freaker13 on January 14, 2004 10:15:02 AM]

I have no idea if this would fix the problem, but I''ve had problems working with DLLs recently, the problem being with STL containers allocating memory in the DLL and deallocating it in the EXE. The solution for that was to set the run-time library (under Project->Settings->C/C++->Code Generation) to Multithreaded DLL in both the EXE project and DLL project. That may potentially fix a lot of various problems.
