problem with mouse wheel in DI

I have a problem with mouse wheel in DI. On one computer, the coordination DIMOUSESTATE.lZ is absolutly, on other computer DIMOUSESTATE.lZ is relative. How do I detect, if DIMOUSESTATE.lZ is in absolutly or relative coordinates? Thanx. Augi P.S.: Sorry for my English...

Use IDirectInputDevice9::SetProperty method with DIPROP_AXISMODE property id. See the SDK for more info
