Looping sound

I am using the function "PlaySegmentEx" to play all the sound effects of the game. What I am trying to do is get back music playing. Whenever I play the music it is fine. But as soon as another sound is activated it turns of the music. My question is, how do you play background music independane of sound effects also how do you loop sound? Thanks Robert

Also, what is the difference between direct sound and direct music. I am using direct music to play my soind effects.

Am I supposed to use direct sound for sound effects and direct music for background music?



Also, there is another forum topic similair to this talking about direct show? Why can''t rhere be just 1
