Getting non-queued messages from main

I believe thats the right title, basically, i need to intercept WM_COMMAND from my message loop, but if i understand right...the WM_COMMAND is sent directly to the WndProc making it impossible to intercept...BUT I NEED I!!! i suppose id need to have WM_COMMAND post some different message to the queue...does that sound like a terrible idea? and also, thatd mean id need to make a new message... and of course i dont wanna #define and risk overwriting a REAL message.....what do i do for that? wow i think that was one sentence :-D the english final is gonna kill me -Dan Yes I realize im a n00b...
