I''m trying to find tools which alow me to code in schematic style as if I was assembling a circuit. I''ve gone over UML, but it seems to be in the wrong direction, as the core functionality of the program is only skimmed over. I''ve looked at VHDL and PCB modeling tools, and they seem to have the kind of interface I want, but I haven''t found one that would allow me to extend it for creating C++ code from the schematics. Anyone know of anything like what I''m looking for?

Virtools uses a schematic "visual" programming language. And it''s a pretty sweet 3D prototyping tool. I know of a few people who use it to create games.

LabView is great, but it''s not about to help me write the next great FPS/RTS game. I guess I was hoping something more half-step-from-compiler was out there.

I guess I''ll have to write my own... :-P
