i need help

okay, i have been searching for a good compiler. does anyone know a C++ compiler that is: + directX compatable + can run and compile a single file instead of having to create a new project every time + not too expensive + fairly easy to use help would be greatly appreciated :^) come on the cheat! we''''re taking this thing to the moooooon!!

afaik, any C++ compiler that compiles Win32 executables is compatiable with using the directx api. I haven''t used all of these compiles that exist but I do know msvc++, borland, and gcc works with directx.

compile your source through the commandline instead. Most of the major compiles I''ve mentioned allows you to do this. Make sure your compiler path is visible in your environment and switch into the directory where your source resides. Usually running the compiler and passing it your source as an argument is enough.

You can check out mingw or borland''s compiler. They''re both free so it''s not too expensive

by the term "easy" i mean hit control and an f key and be done with it. Unlike some Ms-Dos like compilers in which you have to open the dos, type in paths and stuff like that

yeah i think the MS Visual C++ 6.0 oder .NET is fine.

also directX compatible!
