SDL bitmap / SDL_Surface resizing

i am using sdl to make a GUI for my tools and a game that ill code with those tools, but i currently would like to know how to make SDL_Surfaces resize in a scalable manner aside from having to read every pixel in and then make a new surface proprtional to that one pixel by pixel. is there any way to do this?

IIRC, there''s no good way to do this in SDL without using, for example, GL. However, I believe that one or two of the libraries listed on the SDL website provide image/surface scaling routines.

you need the SDL_buffer library. That''s what I''m using for blox. There is a downloadable alpha of blox on the page in my sig.
