Motion Flow Files

Recommended Posts

I use 3d Studio Max 6 with the new character studio, I used to have some Motion Flow Files (*.mfe) for use with my Bipeds back when I was on 3d Studio Max 4, but ever since I got 5, and now 6, I havent found any. Does anyone know where I could find some? Thanks, Tyler

I am using the educational version at school, and it doesnt have the motion flow files, and the normal teacher is away for a while, so I was hoping to find some of the motion flow files on the internet.

P.S. The motion flow files come with most pirated versions.

Edit: I use 5 at school, and the trial version of 6 at home, neither of which have the motion flow files.

If you want to protest what the moderator did, you need to e-mail the site adminstrator, but you better be prepared to prove that you own legit copies of Max.

Well, since my post it has expired, because I was already at 20 some odd days when I told you i was using the trial, and it is only a 30 day trial, so now i dont have a version at home. I just use the one at school now, which is the one I learned on.

Proof that he''s telling the truth from OUR end is not required; it is from HIS end. However, I''ve taken him off probation after his last post included what I needed to hear.

That being said, the original point of this topic was never responded to: DOES anyone have the Motion Flow files, so that he may use them at school? They SHOULD have the disks at your school, anyway, if THEY are not using a pirated version; I''ve actually run across schools that DO, which is why I say this.

Thank you, I obviously can understand why anyone reading my first posts would think I have a pirated version. You are right, I think most schools do have a disk version, but my teacher is gone for the rest of the year(health), and the replacement doesnt know where they are. Ill make sure to be more clear in my future posts to avoid these kind of misunderstandings. Thanks for the way you handled this.

You know, there were tons of pirated copies of MAX a few years back, ''tis true. But a user posts a simple request and you ban him or probation or wtf?

I myself learned the prog way back on ver 2.5 and I love it and still can''t afford it. Imagine my joy at finding a 30 day trial of max 6. So I dl''d it, used it, LOVED it, and it expired.

Having bought a new computer I made the big mistake of trying to DL it and somehow try it again. Whqat a mistake. It wouldn''t work - at all. So does that mean I''m a ''pirate'' who shouldn''t have done that? I certainly don''t know enough about max to do anything commercial or even enough to use it for anything except "Gee, I textured something correctly!" - so does that mean it now costs me $3145 US to continue learning it?

I think it''s even possible to LOSE disks - yes, even 3000 dollar ones - or otherwise damage them or reneder them useless. I''s sure discreet would be hap[py to replace any such disks (they better be for that price). Why wasn''t that user told that, instead of being bullied with "you''d better be able to prove" and "how many days have you been useng the trial"?

And, who appointed that moron the Discreet security patrol? I suggest he head over to ebay, where someone actaully *listed* pirated copies of max - and made no secret of their illegality. I think Discreet would really appreciate that. I myself did not deem it my responsibility to take any action when I saw that.

It''s a shame when a little bit of authority goes to someone''s head like that. I sure hope that other guy got his missing file.
Discreet should find a way to get this program into more hands - they''d end up selling more copies of it like that. $3145 is still out of my price range.

Can''t we all just be friends. I can understand both sides of the story. Because I am both a "learner" and a "business owner." I am a web designer, and I own a web design and web hosting company. This is expenses when you have buy a $2000 copy of server 2003, a couple license for Visual Studio.net 2003 (another $2000 each)...and a few more copies of MS Frontpage 2003 ($300 each). It would be nice to pirate them... but our company would be royally rapped by microsoft if we did.

Similaryly, the owners of this forum/website do not want to have their site shutdown because a very resourceful and educational game development website turns into a "hey, how do I pirate 3ds max...". Can you see where they are coming from?

But also. All we want to do is learn... Thats why I like discreet. They have that nice gmax program that we can learn on. But it still is no 3dsmax...

That is my schtick.
