Anyone ever use those things? and what the hell are they for? i always use an empty project so i don''t have to undefine those things!
It''s for use with precompiled headers (see MSDN for more info on those). Properly used, it can speed up compilation by an incredible amount; my game engine went from 5 minutes to compile, to 30 seconds.

Note that you can call the precompiled header anything you want. It doesn''t have to be stdafx.h... but in order to easily share code between projects it''s just simpler to leave it as stdafx.h.
I didn''t used to know what they were for but then I read the documentation (first result) and now I know

delete them you don''t need them unless you use microsoft''s compiler.
They wouldn''t show up in his non-empty projects if he weren''t.
