Does anyone know... (and this could be very simple) what the error "unresolved external symbol _main" means? What do I do to fix this? I am compiling in Visual c++ 6.0.

it means you are compiling as a console app, but did not define a main() function. you must either change it to compile to a win32 app (if you have a WinMain() instead), or write a main() function.

I suspected it might be something simple like that. So do I have to start a new project, or can I tweak something within the compiler to tell it to stop compiling for console?(And start compiling to win32 application)

How you would change it depends on your linker. For MSVC, there should be a linker setting /SUBSYSTEM:CONSOLE. Change that to /SUBSYSTEM:WINDOWS.
