vertex, fragment programs

I''ve experimenting with ARB vertex and fragment programs lately writing them by hand in notepad. The SGI whitepaper on vertex and fragment programs have been helpful, but they arn''t as helpful as a step by step tutorial on teh subject. I''m trying to accomplish NdotL perpixel lighting but I can''t find any tutorials that accomplish this using vertex/fragment programs. Infact, there arnt very many tutorials on vertex/fragment programs in general. If anyone has any links, I would be very much indebted.

And by the way. I''m not completely lost. I''m have a working NdotL vertex program, I simply havnt been able to apply the same principles to fragment programs because of the limited avalibility of information to the fragment program itself.
