Installed everything Java etc. Compiled fine using WTK. Used a batch and get an error ''jar'' is not recognized as an internal or external command here is some of the batch file i am using
SET JAVA_HOME=c:\j2sdk1.4.1_04
SET MIDP_JAR=c:\siemens\smtk\emulators\s55\lib\api.jar
SET SIEMENS_HOME=c:\siemens\smtk

del /Q classes\*.*
del /Q tmpclasses\*.*
REM ----------------- COMPILE -----------------------------
%JAVA_HOME%\bin\javac -g:none -d tmpclasses -bootclasspath %MIDP_JAR% -classpath JAVA_HOME%\jre\lib;%MIDP_JAR%;tmpclasses;classes src\*.java

jar cmf bin\Manifest.mf step1.jar -C tmpclasses .

If anybody can point out where the issue is i would be grateful! Brian

Probably jar isn''t in a directory on your PATH and it was on your old system. (You don''t prefix the jar invocation with a path in your batch file.)

yeah its in the bin folder! but it was not needed for the last batch and i cant see any difference between what was supplied last time and for this batch now...

Yeah giving the complete path to the jar works alright!

Thanks
