I''ve been looking at shaders for a little while now but every time I think I know what to do I read through another shader and then i''m lost again. What I would love is for some sort of guide that has a complete definition of the syntax and commands that can be used. It''s not hard to figure out that something like MOV means move or MAD is multiply & add but is there any list of everything that you can use? How does someone learn what something like this [below] means? (Taken from another thread) OPTION ARB_position_invariant; MOV result.color, vertex.color; I haven''t found any resources that i''ve found good enough to teach myself something like that.

Read the specs for ARB_vertex_program and ARB_fragment_program. Everything you need to know is in there. The specs can be found on opengl.org.
