Directx in DevC++

how do I add Directx 8 to my DevC++ compiler, when i set it up it doesnt ask if I want to add it or anything and I''m not fully sure what libraries to add so could someone help me. You can leave and beat the traffic or you can stay and beat your meat. Blink 182

If you have the latest version of DevC++, go to the tools menu, and select Check for Updates/Packages. Download the DirectX9 DevPak (It will work with 8 as well). It has all of the header files and libraries in the correct format, (Visual C++ libs are .lib and DevC++ libs are .a) you need. Don''t try to use the libraries (or headers for that matter) that come with the DirectX8 SDK.
