Stretching surface support.

Is stretching of a surface during a blit in DD, by changing the destination rect, something that is fairly widely supported hardware wise? ...or atleast guaranteed to run with emulation? Speed isn''t really an issue since it''s a very minimal amount of stretching, I just want to make sure it''s not something that''s only going to work on some setups. Thanks.
