hi, This is the error message im getting: error C2661: '_D3DCOLORVALUE::_D3DCOLORVALUE' : no overloaded function takes 4 parameters and this is what im doing: D3DCOLORVALUE aa; aa = D3DCOLORVALUE(1,1,1,0); why can't i do that? I seems logical enough. heres the D3DCOLORVALUE Structure: typedef struct _D3DCOLORVALUE { float r; float g; float b; float a; } D3DCOLORVALUE; thanks, [edited by - johnnyBravo on February 21, 2004 5:16:21 AM]

close but no cigar.

D3DCOLORVALUE aa = { 1, 1, 1, 0 };

Keep in mind that D3DCOLORVALUE doesn''t have any explicit constructors defined.
