Hi all, don't know how many people here will either already know about this or not need it at all, but www.jefflew.com is selling an instructional dvd for the equivelent of £35 ($70 u.s). i recieved mine yesterday and it's pretty damn good. it covers the tools, methods and styles of animation, character design, weighting, followthrough.. pretty much all the important stuff. section 3 of the disc is Jeff Lew (creator of the Killer Bean and Lead animator of The Matrix movies among other things...) creating a fall, crouch, prepare, flying kick animation from scratch, talking you through all the steps. It's quite encouraging to see that even the pros make little mistakes every now and then as well, expecially when they show you exactly what went wrong and why as well... all in all, a good buy for people just starting out in character animation and a good buy for those who want to expand their techniques as well, check it out!
