please help me texture map

Hi, I''m working on a program that requires more than 4 textures. Using NeHe''s code, I change the variables to reflect how many I have. With up to 3 or four textures it works fine, past that it stills loads the textures but does not map them on my model. All my sources are correct, and the textures are all 2^x, so I''m stumped! What''s so easy that I''m missing?
