Does VC6 set any preprocessor flag for x86?

I need to compile a small block of asm only if the target architecture is x86, so what symbol does VC6 define if the target is x86? Preferably this would be the same on GCC, MinGW, etc.

For MSVC the pre-processor defines _M_IX86 when compiling for an x86 architecture. Don't know about gcc.

edit: you realize you're going to have to do a completely different set of inline assembly code on gcc anyways? gcc uses AT&T syntax for its inline assembly, which is incompatible with the Intel syntax used by MSVC.
