OpenGL Bordering an openGL window

Simple question, probably a simple answer. How can i create a border around an openGL window? Is there any way to do this in 2D so i don''t have to calculate it in 3D with the modelview matrix?

use glOrtho() to get an orthagonal projection (no perspective), you can set it up so the gl coordinates coincide with pixel coordinates for perfect lining up.
