D3DXSPRITE extraction problem

When I use d3dxsprite to draw texture,it won''t show up properly in my desired size/screen location if the texture is extracted as a cell tile in a tileset. But it works if the texture is stored as a single texture file(which means i don''t have to specify the source RECT) Any help is appreciated,thank.

Are you sure you''re specifying the correct rectangle to use? Also, what vector are you using for the pCenter parameter? Setting it anything other than NULL may give you results that are unexpected, if you want the position to be based off the top left corner.
