I have a scene i have been working on, and the whole trick to make it look nice is if the background is dark and the user can barly see it. So i did that and it works great on my computer, i used glColor3f() to darken the images by the way. Then i tested it on 2 more computers, and the part that is suppose to be dark, is really light and destroys the scene. How would i go about fix this? I really have no idea. It''s probably just the brightness and contrast settings on the monitor, in which case you can''t really fix it. Either that or it''s the gamma setting which you can change but I''d recomend you don''t. I''ve got a monitor that''s rather dark and when games insist upon a fixed gamma I can hardly see anything because it''s so dark which is rather annoying. I''m sure many other people also have a similar problem.
