.X animation manipulation

Anyone know of some good tutorials that explain how to manipulate the .x file animations (exported from Milkshape3D) Want to know how to use my animation sets..... I searched on this site but can''t find much that is relevant, anyone got any links to some of the ''good stuff'' Cheers

For future reference, this question might be better asked in the Directx forum.

Are you using Directx8 or 9?

If 8, this tutorial on skinned meshes is helpful:

If 9, your best bet is to study the SDK skinned mesh sample, as well as looking at the documentation for ID3DXAnimationSet, ID3DXAnimationController, and ID3DXAllocateHierarchy interfaces. I do not personally have any experience with either DirectX8 or the Milkshape format.

Additionally, the Summer Update samples include a multi-animation sample; I'm not sure if Milkshape supports this, but the sample shows how to blend animations.
