rotating sprites

I posted this question in the beginners forum the other day, but still need some help. The question is How do I rotate a sprite using the latest version of the DirectX9 SDK because the rotation parameter has been removed? Thanks in advance

You can set up a transform matrix using:

D3DXMatrixTransformation2D(&mat, ...)
D3DXMatrixAffineTransformation2D(&mat, ...)

And then set the transform and draw something like this:

pSprite->SetTransform(&mat);
pSprite->Draw(pTexture, &rect, NULL, NULL, 0xffffffff);

I''m facing a new problem with the adam''s skinned mesh loader, if a mesh has only vertex coloring and no textures it doesn''t load the vectex colors!!!

Any help is appreciated
