Lighting a Sphere

Hi, Im drawing a scene that allows the mouse to rotate a sphere, but I want to apply light at all times to where the visible part of the sphere. I have tried to alter the GL_POSITION paramater of
but there always seems to be some area of the sphere dark. Does anyone out there know a good solution I could use Keith
