Hello, I was going through several demos, tutorials, and so on when I noticed that some of them had the same, as far I could tell, particle textures. My question is are particle textures just free to use by anybody since they essentially just seem to be white shapes with a gray scale?

If you get them from someone else, then no they aren''t just free. Most software has a license of some kind that governs what can and can''t be done with it and its parts.

Just create your own.
