Hey I need to know what will I need with the torque engine...Like Can I build buildings with the torque engine or do I need 3D Studio Max? ty

I don''t think the torque engine comes with those kinds of tools. You might check the Garage Games forums for that.

I think Torque has a built-in world editor
but for 3d models you will need a 3d modeler
i think they just added support for blender which is a free 3d modeler

You can use Quark or Worldcraft to make the buildings. These are both free, as far as I know. There are also plugins available for 3ds max and Milkshape.
