Thought everyone here might like to know that there is a new game engine out there designed for both inexperienced and experienced developers. The DimensionDoor engine is unique in that it combines Java for scripting (much easier than pure C++ coding), Eberly''s state of the art rendering engine, and a managed P2P server network (sort of like kazaa) that enables you to publish a popular game _without_ a server farm! Give it a try and see what you can do. Maybe you don''t need to spend those tens of thousands of hours writing your own network/render/sound/scripting engine you thought you did. Maybe you can write your kick-ass game instead! You can check it out here: http://dimensiondoor.net/ Scripting examples are here: http://dimensiondoor.net/howto/script/ Download and try it here: http://dimensiondoor.net/downloads/ ..
