GLSL fragment shader question

I''m fairly new to GLSL shaders. Is there an easy way to tell within a fragment program whether or not GL_TEXTURE_2D is enabled? (I have a scene graph rendering both textured and non-textured entities, and I need to treat them differently). I know I can could set a uniform value every time I turned on/off texturing, but it sure would be nice if there was an easier way. Thanks in advance, RAC
