Im working on collision detection between 2 balls, and ive been reading i need to multiply vectors together. I know how to multiply vectors together, but i dont understand the concept behind it. when you ADD vectors, you get the resultant vector of the 2, and it ends up being a triangle type shape: ___---------- __/________- _/_____- /__- but, what does multiplying look like? You can't multiply vectors.

Dot products can be used to find the angle between two vectors, and cross products find a vector orthogonal to two vectors, but there's no "multiplication".
