I'm using opengl but I guess this question applies to general 3D graphics. If I want to draw an object rotated in opengl, what's the best way to do this? I'm now trying to first translate the camera to the object, then rotate the camera, and then translate the camera back to it's original position... but I'm not sure if this is the good way. It confuses me too. What's generally used? Thanks. [edited by - Boops on March 22, 2004 6:08:16 PM]

I know that the method in DirectX is to create the object in question then apply a matrix to it and rotate it in world space.

As far as i know this appears to leave the camera alone.

Take Care
