Bad Habit??

i have microsoft visual C++.net se and the book i have on learning c++ is based on VC++ 6. VC++.Net has a mode to have it styled after vc++ 6 if...my question is is it a bad idea to learn this way or should i just look into books based on the .net edition???????

Nah, I think it''s a fine idea to set it to VC6-style, at least while you''re learning from that book.

Once you know what you''re doing, it''s really quite easy to switch from VC6 to VC.net (or even to other compilers).
