I know you can save 3DSMax files to .x. However, how easy is it to import .x files into 3DSMax and Maya? What I would like to do, is to export all my geometry to .x, and somehow save a path. Then render what I did in real time, using maya or 3DS to see how it would look raytraced. (Bassically making a ray traced version of a real time system.) So a) How is the conversion process from .x to maya/3ds. b) How could one save waypoints of a bezier curve to maya. Thanks for the help in advance.

There are only two programs that I know of that can actually import .x files. One is MeshViewer that comes with the DX SDK. The other is Deep Exploration. There could be plugins or something for maya/max to import .x files but I don''t know of any.
