Win32 toolbar

I have created a toolbar with New, Save and Open buttons, but how do I use my own images for buttons?
(Yeah, I found some information on MSDN, but I wasn''t able to understand it :D )

BTW; two more Win32API problems:
1) When I add a menu, only the upper 1/4 of the status bar is visible.
2) The [standard] icons on the toolbar are slightly smaller than they are supposed to be, why?
