Andre Lamoth''s "Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Guru''s" is pretty good.

Also, you can find an online PDF of it if you try, but I suggest supporting the author and buying it!

TofWGPGs isn''t a C++ book, it''s a fundamentals of game programming book. If that''s what you''re looking for then it is a good book.

A great C++ book that doesn''t waste time teaching you stuff you won''t immediately need and gets your hands into C++ quick is the book Accelerated C++: Practical Programming by Example, part of the C++ In-Depth Series of books.
