Is this normal? I have a program I''m working on, and when I run it (ctrl-F5), it crashes. So I try to debug it to see whats wrong, but it works! running it with (F5) causes no problems at all. Very frustrating... is this supposed to happen?

Yeah, that happens.
Can you describe the crash? What message does it give you?
When you debug it does it give you any warnings or anything?

Im using windowsXP. The crash is one of those familiar "prog.exe has encountered a problem.....Please tell Microsoft about this problem..." and then you click "don''t send".

Im fairly sure it has to do with an array index going out of bounds, or something similar, but why wouldnt the debugger catch this? Im having a hard time with this one.

Perhaps a liberal sprinkling of _ASSERT() or _ASSERTE() thoughout your code would be helpful for confirming assumptions that you are making.
