Industry standard for formats?

I''m trying to recreate an TBS game using DirectDraw, and I was wondering if there is any kind of industry-standard file format for storing character/object animation sequences?

No.

Just about every game and piece of graphics software has it''s own proprietary format. Annoying but the honest truth.
