question regarding transformation

when you rotate then translate in directx does the order retain? for example if I have RotMat, TransMat then after I multiply them together say Result = RotMat * TransMat will the order of transformation retain? like in OpenGL you can do these type of ordering glRotate glTranslate thanks.
