MFC dialog question
I have created a game editor and framework that allows me to load objects dynamically through dll calls. The editor currently allows for specific keywords to trigger specific editor dialogs to allow user input. For example, if the variable type is defined as an INTEGER then a simple numbers only, edit control dialog appears and lets the user modify the value. when the dialog is closed, the value is returned to the caller and the variable is modified. This all works as planned.
question : how could i allow the user to create a game object specific dll that houses it''s own MFC dialogbox that can be used to edit their objects?
example : I create an object called MyObject that can be dynamically loaded using the framework. when the editor loads this object class, the editor can ask the object class what the name of the class specific dialog to use and then load that dialog for the user to edit the object variables with when the object is selected.
my thinking is that each object class could have a function called Edit() that would load the MFC dialog for editing.....
any thoughts on this?
