Hey guys I''ve got a camera setup in my game which I want to move around a table. I''m using GLUT and programming in Borland C++ so I''m setting my camera using gluLookAt. When the user drags the mouse left or right etc the camera is set in a new position by a certain amount. This looks pretty pathetic as I''ve seen some great camera which act as though there on a ball bearing and can swing around really nicely, mines just acts really jerky no matter how small I make the camera move by. I''d like to make it nice and smooth like some others i''ve seen but don''t know how. Should I rotate the camera rather than move it? Any suggestions would be great thanks! Cheers

Are you doing "time base movement"? Do a google search on that. I also think gametutorials.com has a tut on a camera orbiting around a point, and it''s OpenGL.
