Damn it, message got erased by me. Ok, I have VC++ 6.0 Pro, and I cannot import bitmaps over 256 colors. Am I stupid, or is this a known problem and need plugins? Am I just looking in the wrong place to import pictures?

You should be able to import them, you just cant edit them.
The message should say something like:
"The bitmap has been imported correctly, however because it contains more than 256 colors it can not be loaded into the bitmap editor"

ah ha.. its those evil words again...

"The bitmap has been imported correctly, however because it contains more than 256 colors it can not be loaded into the bitmap editor"

I put in a picture frame, set it to Type: Bitmap, Image: (my picture). I exit, build, and only a white box is shown.

Can someone give me step by step instructions? This is getting annoying.
