The best 3d game engine to make a MMORPG in?

hi, i''m trying to make an mmorpg, at the moment its 2d, but i''m looking to make it 3d, i wanna use a game engine that has online multiplayer fetures, and i don''t have much money... what do you suggest? - Alee

keep it in 2d
but its a space game, and if anyones gonna play it its gotta at least compete with "Earth and beyond" :''( that game looks so good! i think i''ll make the first version 2d, maybe keep the game 2d and make a seqel in 3d... although easier said than done...

awesome. got any screens or anything to show off?
The best way to compete with this other game is to keep it 2D, save yourself a load of hassle and spend that free time making the game play twice as good

And then these engines: NDL's NetImmerse or Intrinsic Alchemy.

IIRC the base of E&B was 2D... you could go up and down, yes, but I think the universe managed itself to be 2D... or 2.5 dimensions technicaly speaking...
