MFC + AltTab +DirectX

Is there a callback function in MFC that I can intercept when user AltTab in/out the program? Same old problem with the DirectX surface lost. Currently I have a check for the surface lost and then restoresall but the speed of graphics return is very slow alt-tabing back in. So, I''m trying to save a BufferImage to Sram when the user AltTabs out the game then restore the Sram Image back to the Buffer when AltTab back in hoping that would speed up everything. I know how to do this in win32 apps but MFC... I have no clue. Please help.
