HTML Transparency with <select> Dropdown
I was wondering if it was possible to make a html dropdown menu using transparent with style=""
I have the website itself, and a seperate style sheet.
Following is what I have:
<!-- HTML PART -->
<div id=''searchmenu''>
Google
Images
Dictionary
MTU
<input id="searchText" maxlength="256" value="" onFocus="this.filters.alpha.Opacity=''75''" onBlur="this.filters.alpha.Opacity=''25''" onkeypress="if(event.keyCode==13) { submit(this.value); }">
</div>
<!-- STYLE SHEET PART -->
#searchmenu {
position:absolute;
left: 6px;
bottom: 5px;
filter: Alpha(opacity=35);
}
#searchmenu select {
font: 9x Tahoma;
color: black;
background-color: white;
filter: Alpha(opacity=35);
}
#searchmenu option {
font: 9x Tahoma;
color: black;
background-color: white;
filter: Alpha(opacity=35);
}
#searchmenu input {
font: 9x Tahoma;
color: black;
background-color: white;
width: 95px;
height: 16px;
filter: Alpha(opacity=35);
}
The menu still remains completely opaque.
Also, on a side note, what is the syntax to alter the button used in the dropdown?
Using MS-only extensions? shame shame!
you might find a hint here though:
