How can I give the impression of fake light intensity in OpenGL. I have a rendered grid of lines coloured blue against a black background, and I am trying to figure out how I could make it look like those lines are glowing as if they are for instance lasers or other such entities of concentrated light energy. Having not experimented with shaders, it''s only a guess of mine that they are the only way around this problem, but I am probably wrong. How could I do this? Are there any Extensions which would help? Thanks, Ad

you could render the line multiple times at increasing width with a saturation blending. This would make it appear so that the center of the line is brighter and the as you move away from the center it gets dimmer.
